ECW Pays Tribute To William "Paul Bearer" Moody

As the world figured out late last night/early today, one of professional wrestling's greatest managers and icons passed away. William "Paul Bearer" Moody. ECW A New Era has announced intentions of a Tribute Show this Friday Night, ECW's founder said:

"Hearing about this news made me extremely sad, and to honor one of wrestling's greatest managers we have decided to make Friday's show a Official Tribute to William "Paul Bearer" Moody. We send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Moody. Wrestling lost a true icon today, and Friday, we plan on remembering him and giving you a show that Paul would have wanted. Thanks for the memories my friend.."

There is no word yet on what will take place, or who will appear on Friday's show, if we hear any updates, we will let you know!

Evolution Reunites?

As seen to close Monday's ECW HardcoreTV LIVE from Queens, NY, Evolution (the group of Punk, Aries, Bryan and Douglas) tried to beat down Ric Flair after his loss to CM Punk. They set their sights on breaking the leg of Flair and had a chair around his leg until Randy Orton ran in to make a save. Bryan and Aries began to beat down Orton as Batista made his way out. Batista caught Shane Douglas from the top rope with a vicious spear and left him down. Batista, Orton and Flair are as one again, but the question will still remain, will TRIPLE H have any thing to do with this? A fan asked the same question on Twitter and Triple H said:

@TripleHECWANE - "Pay attention to the show. I'm busy with Raven and need to get that done first. Then maybe we'll think about it."

Ric Flair Going For The Gold?

At the end of Wednesday Night's "21st Anniversary" Special, Co-Chairman "Stone Cold" Steve Austin made it official! "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair will go ONE ON ONE THIS MONDAY AGAINST CM Punk and the ECW Championship IS ON THE LINE! Ric Flair is heading into Monday night hoping to score gold again, for a 17th time. There is a wild card in the mix as "Stone Cold" himself announced HE would be the Special Guest Referee and that EVERY MEMBER of Evolution (thats Austin Aries, Paul Heyman, Shane Douglas, & Bryan Danielson) is BANNED from ringside! "Stone Cold" will call it right down the middle on Monday night! The biggest questions heading into Monday's huge show is CAN Ric Flair pull it off for a 17th time? Or will CM Punk, somehow, beat the legendary icon and add him to the list of opponents he's put away? We are going to find out MONDAY on ECW HardcoreTV LIVE!!!!! What a night it will be!

June's United Kingdom Tour SOLD OUT ALREADY!

Ric Flair to face CM Punk on ECW HardcoreTV LIVE

As announced on Wednesday's "21st Anniversary" Special, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair will take face CM Punk (c) in a match for the ECW Championship! Co-Chairman "Stone Cold" Steve Austin announced to close Wednesday's program that HE would be the Special Guest Referee for the match, and EVOLUTION IS BANNED FROM RINGSIDE! No Shane Douglas, No Austin Aries, No Bryan Danielson, and NO PAUL HEYMAN! It will be CM Punk vs. Ric Flair, under FAIR RULES!

Tickets for March Massacre SOLD OUT

Tickets for March 17th's ECW "March Massacre" 2013 is SOLD OUT despite only one match being announced so far (that being the 30 Man March Massacre Match). Management is happy with how fast the tickets sold out and say they expect April's "Anarchy" to sell out as well. "Anarchy" will take place from Illionis' "Allstate Arena" which holds a capacity of 18,500 but you can expect that number to be less considering the space the equipment will take up as well as the ring. They are expected to break even at 14,700 but could get a few hundred more fans there. ECW Management said they "are hoping Anarchy sells out, but its not a major concern" as Barely Legal coming up in May is their biggest concern, Barely Legal will be taking place from Texas' "Reliant AstroDome" which holds a capacity of 59,969 but ECW is expected to break even at 55,500 but once again, more fans could be fit in. We will update you on this when we hear anything!

SABU Makes ECW Hall of Fame Class of 2013!

What was hyped up as a big announcement, and it ended up being just that as ECW Legend SABU made his way to the ring for a short beer bash with fellow Original ECW-alum. Sabu will be inducted at the 2013 ECW Hall of Fame Ceremony the weekend of Barely Legal this coming MAY! We will have more news on Hall of Famers and who will be inducting them hopefully very soon!

Tod Gordon Makes Appearance at ECW "21st Anniversary" Special!

When ECW told you that the "21st Anniversary" Special was going to be chalked full of surprises they didn't lie! But, Wednesday Night, ECW Co-Chairman Paul Heyman came to shock after Tod Gordon made a shocking appearance. Tod shot Paul down calling him a "sell out" and brought out Tommy Dreamer (Paul's former close friend) and The Sandman. The Sandman proceeded to cain Heyman and leave him layed out, and bloodied. In the end, CM Punk accepted a match with the duo and it was made for the Main Event, which was CM Punk, and Shane Douglas taking on The Sandman and Dreamer. The segment ended with Tommy Dreamer calling Paul a "sell out" and Paul making the match official.

Later in the night, in what we are being told was an "attempted mugging", Tod Gordon confronted Shane Douglas backstage, telling him that while the World Wrestling Federation wanted him to be a "school teacher" and World Championship Wrestling wanted him to be a "dynamic dude", Tod let him "be himself". In a moment that seemed to be good, Shane Douglas gave Tod a hug, but then in came Evolution and they all attempted to beat Tod Gordon down, but not for long, because in came Sandman and Dreamer after hearing the commotion and it became a brawl, security stepped in and split the men up again but it could have ended up much worse. Tod Gordon said on Twitter that he's thinking about pressing charges, he said:

@TodGordonECW - "What happened out there was totally unacceptable, and action is to be taken if I feel its necessary."

He followed up saying:

@TodGordonECW - "@ECWANEheyman will need me some day but I won't be there for him."

Paul Heyman re-tweeted it and added:

The Hardys Win ECW World Tag Team Titles at Wednesday Special

After a hard fought battle, The Hardy Boys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) defeated Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries in a rematch from last Sunday's ECW Absolution pay-per-view. The Hardys beat the team and are now the NEW ECW World Tag Team Champions!

Terry Funk "I'll Be In The House for ECW on Wednesday Night!"

Terry Funk revealed via Twitter that he will indeed by in town for ECW's Wednesday Night Special entitled "ECW's 21st Anniversary Special". Terry wrote:

@TheRealTerryFunk - "I will be in the house for ECW on Wednesday Night and look forward to seeing all my friends too."

As of this writing, ECW has no plans to use Terry on television but plans can always change. It is heavily rumored that Terry will be in action on the show, but when we called Terry he said "I have no plans on stepping back in the ring in ECW, or any other promotion. I know, I've said that a lot, but I really mean it this time. I am getting too old for this sh*t". So it is looking most likely like Terry is just coming to visit friends, and will not be competing in any matches on the show. If we hear any updates we will let you know.
